was July 21, 2009.

The splash park is an addition to the boundless playground that was conceived and built by our gifted students.

CHS Varsity Football Players read to Lakewood Elementary classes in August 2009. They gave out CHAMP (Central High Athletes Maximize Potential) Chips to Explorers who have demonstrated outstanding character and work ethic during the first two weeks of school.

Central High School NJROTC conducted flag training for students at Lakewood Elementary and Ridgecrest Elementary in August.  The cadets instructed students on the proper way to raise and lower the American and State flag in front of their schools and demonstrated how to correctly fold the flags.  The training is very valuable and demonstrates pride and patriotism

Central High School NJROTC offered discipline training for the Golden Ambassadors at Meadowlane Elementary School September 9, 2009.  The cadets talked to the young men about staying focused, bullying, maintaining good grades and setting long and short term goals.

On September 17, 2009 an I-beam from the World Trade Center
