Reading Vocabulary and Comprehension:
Vocabulary development and comprehension are very important. When studying synonyms, use a variety of reading levels.
Grammar:
Students should do proofreading activities every day. Also, students should be writing in various forms, like descriptive, narrative, and expository essays.
Math:
Don't forget to stress word problems! Have students create word problems that are relevant in their lives. Have them include problems with more than one step.
Social Studies:
Students need lots of practice reading maps, charts, and graphs. They will need to make comparisons utilizing more than one map, chart, or graph.
Science:
Scientific investigation procedures and diagrams are highly stressed. Students need to perform experiments using the scientific method.
