-Participate in DARE during Exploratory time.  DARE will be during exploratory on Mondays.

-Go over the practice ARMT test in math series workbook on pages 83-101 (Do not write on these pages).  Tear out pages 109-117.  Show your work on your own paper.  Staple your paper to the back of the worksheet.

-Begin memorizing Customary and Metric units of measurement for Chapters 9 and 10 using page 755.

-Work on Accelerated Math.

-Change from one unit of time to another on pages 562-563.

-Given any two of these times, elapsed time, starting time, or ending time, find the third on pages 564-567.

-Memorize Customary and Metric units of measurement for Chapters 9 and 10 using page 755.

-Work on Math workbook pages 128 (front and back) and 129 (front and back).

-Choose the most appropriate metric unit of length and measure lengths to the nearest centimeter and millimeter on pages 534-535.

-Change among measurements in metric units of length on pages 536-539.

-Estimate and measure capacity using metric measures and change millimeters to liters and vice versa on pages 616-617.

Estimate and measure mass using metric measures, and change between these measures on pages 622-623.

-Memorize Customary and Metric units of measurement for Chapters 9 and 10 using page 755.

-Read temperatures in degrees Fahrenheit and in degrees Celsius on a thermometer with both scales, and give changes in temperature indicating the amount of increase of decrease on pages 568-569.

-Memorize Customary and Metric units of measurement for Chapters 9 and 10 using page 755.

-Complete the following workbook pages for chapters 9 and 10:  WB 117, 118, 119, 120, 128, 129, 130, 138, 139, 140, 141, and 142.  Complete them over the Spring Break.

Dear Parents,

 

We will be taking the Stanford Achievement Test –10 (SAT-10), Otis-Lennon School Ability Test (OLSAT), and the Alabama Reading and Math Test (ARMT) beginning Tuesday, April 5th.  Below you will find the schedule for testing.  Note the beginning and ending time for each sub-test.  I ask that you try to schedule all appointments outside of our testing times.  Remember, students cannot be checked out during scheduled testing times.  Please encourage your child to be present and on time each day of testing.

Test Taking Tips
Get plenty of sleep the night before the test.
Eat a good breakfast each morning (Orange juice is a good brain food.).
Be on time and alert.
If you wear glasses, be sure to have them and wear them.
Don’t rush through the test, but don’t spend too much time on any one question.
If you finish early, check back over your answers on that section only.
If you don’t know an answer make your best, reasonable guess.
Don’t panic!  Try to tackle each question one at a time rather than thinking about the whole test at once.
