-Discuss the Word of the Week:  Honesty

-Brainstorm ideas about the word.

-Write the ideas in the Changing Lives activity book.

-Write in the Daily Writing Composition book:  Land of Ice

-Work on your natural hazard presentation material.

-Know the parts of a friendly letter and business letter, as well as capitalizing and punctuating correctly.  Also, know how to spell contractions, compound words, and proper nouns.  Know how to use commas in a series and direct address.

-Go over Friday’s work:  Review pages 84-85 on Decimal Patterns and pages 86-87 on Estimating Decimal Products.

-Complete math workbook pages 21.

-Study for mastery tests on Multiplying Whole Numbers and Decimals and Estimating Products of Whole Numbers and Decimals.

-Practice your timetables.

-Work on your individual Math Online Intervention and Take it to the Net website:  http://www.SFSuccessnet.com

-Work on your natural hazard presentation material and your 5-paragraph essay, which are due on Wednesday. 

Mrs. Garrett’s class will go to Mission Control on Monday from 8:30-10:30, and Mrs. Gibson’s class will go on Monday from 1:30-2:30.

Tuesday

-Write a rough draft for the Word of the Week in the Changing Lives activity book.

-Write in the Daily Writing Composition book:  First Place

-Practice cursive handwriting.

-Know the parts of a friendly letter and business letter, as well as capitalizing and punctuating correctly.  Also, know how to spell contractions, compound words, and proper nouns.  Know how to use commas in a series and direct address.

-Work on Accelerated Math.

-Go over Monday’s work:  pages 84-87 and WB 21.

-Mentally multiply any decimal by a power of ten by completing WB 22.

-Study for mastery tests on Multiplying Whole Numbers and Decimals and Estimating Products of Whole Numbers and Decimals.

-Practice your timetables.

-Work on your individual Math Online Intervention and Take it to the Net website:  http://www.SFSuccessnet.com

-Work on the presentation of your selected natural hazard.

-Complete your 5-paragraph essay on your selected natural hazard by making sure it is in your own words. 

Wednesday

-Revise your rough draft on the Word of the Week in the Changing Lives activity book to make it better.

-Write in the Daily Writing Composition book:  My Day

-Take a practice writing assessment by writing for 50 minutes on the writing prompt.  Expository Essay:  Heroes come in all shapes and sizes.

-Practice cursive handwriting.

-Demonstrate knowledge of Letter Writing by taking a mastery test.

-Solve problems from the Spiral Review and Test Prep transparency and the Problem of the Day.

-Work on Accelerated Math.

-Review Tuesday’s work:  WB 22

-Multiply whole numbers and decimals on pages 88-91 and WB 24.

-Multiply decimals by decimals on pages 94-97 and WB 26.

-Study for mastery tests on Multiplying Whole Numbers and Decimals and Estimating Products of Whole Numbers and Decimals.

-Practice your timetables.

-Work on your individual Math Online Intervention and Take it to the Net website:  http://www.SFSuccessnet.com

-Turn in your 5-paragraph essay on your natural hazard that is in your own words, not copied or written by anyone else.

-Present your project (PowerPoint, poster, book, brochure, or activity) on your selected natural hazard to the class and then turn in it.

Thursday

-Proofread your Word of the Week writing to make it flawless.

 

-Write in the Daily Writing Composition book:  What a Disaster!

-Practice cursive handwriting.

-Discuss verbs by reading pages 142-143.

-Identify action verbs on pages 144-145.

-Identify action verbs and direct objects on pages 146-147.

 

-Work on Accelerated Math.

-Review Wednesday’s work:  pages 88-91, WB 24, 94-97 and WB 26.

-Demonstrate knowledge of multiplying whole numbers and decimals up to 3 digits, including word problems by taking a mastery test.

-Use rounding and compatible numbers to estimate products of decimal numbers, and identify estimates as overestimates or as underestimates on WB 23.

-Practice your timetables.

-Work on your individual Math Online Intervention and Take it to the Net website:  http://www.SFSuccessnet.com

-Present your project (PowerPoint, poster, book, brochure, or activity) on your selected natural hazard to the class and then turn in it.

Friday

-Publish your final copy in the Changing Lives activity book.

(Activities from Changing Lives are given grades in Language as “Other Averages.”)

-Write in the Daily Writing Composition book:  Cloned for a Week

-Practice cursive handwriting.

-Identify main verbs and helping verbs on pages 148-149.

 

-Work on Accelerated Math.

-Review Thursday’s work:  WB 23

-Demonstrate knowledge of estimating products of whole numbers and decimals by taking a mastery test.

-Use grid models to find products of decimals on pages 92-93 and WB 25.

-Practice your timetables.

-Work on your individual Math Online Intervention and Take it to the Net website:  http://www.SFSuccessnet.com
