Science Fair Projects

Students will use the scientific method to conduct science experiments, collect data, and present findings in reports and displays.

The Scientific Method

Question: Write your title as a question.
Purpose: Determine what you want to learn.
Research: Find out as much as you can about your topic.
Hypothesis: Predict what the answer is to your question.
Experiment: Design a test to prove or disprove your hypothesis.
Results/Data: Record what happened during the experiment. Keep a journal or log throughout the experiment to document what you observe. Include charts, graphs, and pictures.
Conclusion: Write a statement as to if your hypothesis was correct or incorrect.
Components of the Report
