Monday

-Discuss the Word of the Week:  Self-Control.

-Brainstorm ideas about the word.

-Turn in Changing Lives for grading on Tuesday.

-Write in the Daily Writing Composition book:  On the Other Side.

-Take a practice writing assessment by writing for 50 minutes on the writing prompt.

-Review various concepts about sentences on pages 110-111.

-Study for the second Sentences Mastery Test by being able to identify groups of words as sentences, fragments, or run-on sentences on pages 495-496.  (Test on Tuesday)

-Turn in Composition Book for grading on Wednesday.

-Turn in Grammar folder for grading on Friday.

-Work on Accelerated Math.

-Review Friday’s work:  Turn the workbooks for a grade. (Each correctly completed page is 3 points.  Late work will lose 10 points for each day that it is late.)

-Read double bar graphs using worksheet pages P3-2 and R3-2.

-Create a double bar graph using the provided information.

-Diagnose readiness for Chapter 2 by completing pages 64-65.

-Review rounding whole numbers and decimals using the provided worksheets. 

-Review adding and subtracting large numbers.

-Study for Mastery Test for Rounding on Tuesday. 

-Study for Mastery Test on Addition and Subtraction of Large Numbers.

-Practice your timetables.

-Work on your individual Math Online Intervention and Take it to the Net website:  http://www.SFSuccessnet.com

Tuesday

-Write the ideas in the Changing Lives activity book.

-Write a rough draft for the Word of the Week in the Changing Lives activity book.

-Turn in Changing Lives for grading today.

-Write in the Daily Writing Composition book:  Am I a Philosopher?

-Correctly write titles of works on pages 438-439, 454, and 484. 

-Practice cursive handwriting (stu).

-Demonstrate knowledge of sentences by taking the second test on sentences.

-Study for the first Titles Mastery Test by being able to correctly written title of works.  (Also, see pages 501and 502) (Test on Wednesday)

-Turn in Math folder for first chapter.

-Work on Accelerated Math.

-Review Monday’s work:  Share and display double bar graph.  Go over pages 64-65.

-Discuss the Properties of Multiplication, including the Associative Property, Commutative Property, Identity Property, Zero Property and Distributive Property on pages 66-67, 26 and 70. 

-Mentally compute products of whole numbers using patterns and multiplication properties on pages 66-67. 

-Demonstrate knowledge of Rounding Whole Numbers and Decimals on the third Mastery Test.

-Demonstrate knowledge of Adding and Subtracting Large Numbers on the third Mastery Test. 

-Study for first Mastery Test on the Associative, Commutative, Identity, and Zero Properties of Multiplication will be tomorrow.

-Study for a second mastery test on Solving Addition/Subtraction Problems using Estimation. (Test Wednesday)

-Study for a second mastery test on solving word problems with decimals and money.  (Test Wednesday)

-Practice your timetables.

-Practice cursive handwriting (vwx).

-Correctly punctuate sentences with quotes on pages 374-375, 390, 416, and 501.

-Demonstrate knowledge of titles by taking the first test on titles of works.

-Study for the first test about Quotations on pages 374-375, 390, 416, and 501.  Test on Friday.

-Turn in Composition book today.

-Work on Accelerated Math.

-Review Tuesday’s work. Pages 66-67

-Use rounding and compatible numbers to estimate products of whole numbers, and identify estimates as overestimates or as underestimates on pages 68-69.

-Demonstrate knowledge of multiplication properties by taking a Mastery Test.

-Demonstrate knowledge of Solving Addition/Subtraction Problems using Estimation on the second Mastery Test.

-Demonstrate knowledge of Solving Word Problems with Decimals and Money on the second Mastery Test.

-Study for the first Mastery Test on Interpreting Data from Bar Graphs and Double Bar Graphs.

-Mentally multiply numbers of up to three places by numbers of up to two places on pages 70-71.

-Review Wednesday’s work:  pages 70-71

-Use the standard algorithm to multiply numbers of one- and two digit numbers on pages 72-75.

-Practice your timetables.
