On Monday, October 29, 2001, the Quest 2
students went to Tuskegee National Forest and Mann Museum. On the way to the Tuskegee National Forest I
talked to Barak; she is one of my best friends. We talked about my birthday and different stuff.
It probably took
about 45 minutes to get Tuskegee National Forest from our school. After we got there, we went to the
restrooms. After we used the restroom,
we got on the bus and called roll. The
Quest 2 students, Ms. Garrett, the bus driver, and the chaperones went down a
dirt rode and got to the ponds in the Tuskegee National Forest. Our ranger was Willie Humphrey; he informed
us. He told me that the yellow jackets
take a bite out of you.
We went to the Mann Museum; it took 15 minutes to get there.
We had to eat lunch and let the sixth
graders go in first. While we were
eating lunch, we saw deer, turkeys, and ducks.
Inside there were many animals in glass boxes. The museum was so nice; it had a hall where you see the
animals. They were real, but
stuffed. My favorite animal was, well,
I didn't have a favorite. There was a gift shop; I bought a towel, pencil flip
box, and a big popper.
I loved the field trip; it was nice. I liked to talk on the bus with my
friends. I liked to see the animals. I liked to get the gifts. I loved learning about the stream.
