|
Doesn't this woodland scene look inviting? There are nice tall trees, ferns, and other plants along a stream. The stream probably is home to many amphibians, such as newts, salamanders, and frogs. It will also give water to animals that need lots of water to drink. The trees and ferns will give protection to birds, snakes, deer, squirrels, and many other animals. There are plenty of green plants for animals to eat. In the fall, there will be nuts and acorns to eat. The woody type plants found here will give buds and twigs to the animals to eat. Berries and wild cherries may be found here, too. This habitat is secluded which means that the animals can live here without disturbing people and without having people disturb them. |
